Thanks to everyone who came along to our picnic. We ate lunch together, enjoyed the sunshine and played some games too.
Here are some updates and from the events and activities we have held.
Land Ahoy! was our pirate themed holiday bible club. We had great fun playing games and making pirate crafts. Each day we heard a story from the bible about how Jesus came to save us from all our sin. We ended the day with an exciting quiz, such as human pop-up pirate! The winning team enjoyed pieing the pirate right in his face! Keep an eye out for future holiday clubs at Hope church.
We had a church walk along Stanley Ferry. We enjoyed the scenic views and time chatting together. After the walk we enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant.
At our Community Carol service we enjoyed singing Christmas Carols and remembering that Jesus is at the centre of Christmas.
On the 18th of December we held a Christmas is coming event. There was a variety of activities to enjoy including light displays, a make your own cone snowman, a Rudolph and sleigh, a life size nativity scene, and of course the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and let him know what’s on your Christmas wish list. People enjoyed hot punch and mince pies and an evening of getting into the festive spirit.
We had a great evening of Christmas crafts in the our Hope Centre Cafe. There was a good crowd of Ladies making Christmas wreaths and enjoying time together.
We are thrilled that we are now in our new building most of the building is now finished. A huge amount of work has been done over the past two years by a great team of professionals and volunteers. We have seen a mini supermarket transformed into a fantastic church building.
Many both inside and outside the fellowship have given sacrificially to fund the project. We are grateful to God for all who have partnered with us in this work. Now comes the really challenging part, using this as a ministry tool for the work of the gospel.
Work is progressing on our new building. Paint is going up on the walls, electrics have been installed and we are excited to see things coming together. A big thank you to everyone who has given time, money, resources and skills to help our building Project. We still have a lot more work to do, but look forwards to the day we can move in.
