Our church picnic was at Temple Newsham Park in Leeds. We found a nice shady spot and ate lunch and then played games together.
At the ladies craft night we welcomed Cari from Boroughbridge who showed us how to make fimo jewellery. While the clay was baking in the oven we heard about how Cari’s life has been transformed by Jesus. Thank you Cari for teaching us jewellery making and sharing your testimony.
In our month of mission we had many different events. From Dr Piyush Jani sharing how Jesus has transformed his life, to a baptism service. We heard testimonies and a gospel message from Emma and Joe Kirby and held a quiz night. We enjoyed hearing how Jesus has transformed people’s lives and the difference it makes knowing Him.
At our quiz night we did lots of different quizzes/games! From blindfolded paper airplane making to hiding toffees, we had lots of fun! While the scores were being added up, Paul gave a short talk about how Jesus could be just the thing you are missing in your life.
Yesterday we held our Community Carol Concert, where we sang lots of Christmas carols and the explorers children sang a special Christmas song they had been learning too. Pastor Paul gave a short talk about Jesus and how He is the greatest gift of all!
Our ladies craft night took place yesterday and the ladies made beautiful Christmas eco wreaths using seasonal foliage. With thanks to Beverly for arranging the evening and giving everyone a lovely festive time.
At our ladies craft night we did Autumn tea towel painting and made all kinds of designs. From leaves to flowers, toadstools to pumpkins there was a wide variety of colourful creativity on display! 🌿 🍁 🍃 🍄
At Our Church away day we went to Hetton Church in the Yorkshire Dales and enjoyed a day of activities including a walk, games, bible teaching, praise and testimonies. We enjoyed a time of fellowship with one another and taking in the lovely scenery. We had a tasty fish and chip lunch too.
At our mission weekend we held a number of events for all ages and welcomed guest speaker Jake Hinton to share a short christian message. We held a family quiz night and a mens breakfast and welcomed a number of guests who shared their testimonies and how Jesus changed their lives.
At our guest service today we enjoyed seeing how Vinny Commons makes pottery. Vinny came to demonstrate his potters wheel and used it to explain how Jesus has shaped and changed his life.
