Here are some updates and from the events and activities we have held.
Tonight was our Christmas praise night. We sang some traditional Christmas carols and some modern songs that celebrated God sending us his son Jesus, the greatest gift of all. We also heard David sing a Christmas carol in telegu and learnt about how Christmas is celebrated in India.
Tonight was our ladies Christmas craft night! We enjoyed all sorts of crafts and were kept busy making Christmas wreaths, paper stars and gift boxes. Our in house barista served fancy hot drinks, and we enjoyed tasty festive treats too!
In October half term we jetted off into outer space for our Space Explorers Kids Club. The children enjoyed games, songs, Bible stories and crafts.
Jen and Simon got baptised! They shared their testimony of how Jesus has changed their lives and made a public declaration of their faith.
We enjoyed our summer picnic at Temple Newsam last weekend. The sun was shining and we enjoyed playing games, eating food and chatting together! 🌞 🧺
This weekend we held our mini mission where we had a range of events. From Todd Alexander the illusionist to Maureen Greeves who shared her story of faith we had an action packed weekend sharing the good news of Jesus. Jamie Jones-Buchanan shared his testimony at a mens breakfast and at our Sunday service one of our members Roy shared how Jesus transformed his life. Martin Povey our guest evangelist came gave a short talk at each event. Thanks to all who helped and attended.
We had our Community Carol Service where we sang Carols and listened to a short Christmas gospel talk.
Local families enjoyed 4front Theatre’s Christmas production of ‘The Herald of Herod’.
A good group of ladies enjoyed a creative evening making Christmas wreaths and decorations.
We had good fun at our quiz night and a great opportunity to share the good news with a number of guests.
